About the Author:
Duan Maosheng is a professor at the Institute of Environmental Energy Economics, Tsinghua University. He successively obtained bachelor, master, and doctorate degrees from Tsinghua University and was appointed as the chairman of the Clean Development Mechanism Executive Board (CDM Executive Board) of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change held in Bonn, Germany.
Since 2001, he has participated in previous UN climate change negotiations as a member of the Chinese government delegation and is responsible for negotiations on issues related to market mechanisms; since 2004, he has been a technical consultant expert for the National Clean Development Mechanism Project Review Council; The leader of the Greenhouse Gas Emissions Standardization Working Group (SAC/TC297/GHG WG) of the Environmental Standardization Technical Committee of the System; from 2008 to now, he has been a member of the Greenhouse Gas Sub-Technical Committee of the National Environmental Management Standardization Technical Committee; since 2009, he has been the manager of the China Quality Certification Center Member of the Committee/Fairness Committee; Member of the Beijing Municipal Expert Committee on Climate Change since 2012; Member of the Shanghai Carbon Emissions Trading Expert Committee since 2012.
