Review of International Symposium on Low Emission Development Strategy Model Technology (1): Keynote Speech

At the 2017 Annual Meeting of the China Energy Modeling Forum, several keynote speeches on carbon emissions and carbon trading expressed many important views. In the first keynote speech, several experts and professors gave speeches on different directions.

"China's Low Carbon Development and Application of Modeling Methods"
 
Professor He started with three questions, expressing that the model research work should focus on considering the new needs of climate change and energy economy low-carbon transformation path research under the new domestic and international situation, to study the choice of my country's low-carbon development path, and to strengthen the model group. Exchange and cooperation, comparison of results and discussion of parameters. In order to realize the promotion of low-carbon energy transformation and strengthen the win-win cooperation between countries.
 
2. Hu Angang (Professor, School of Public Administration, Tsinghua University, Dean, Institute of National Conditions, Tsinghua University)
 
"2035 China - China's long-term social and economic development trend after the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China"
 
Professor Hu used the 2020 goal to lead to the 2035 goal, from economic construction, cultural construction, people's livelihood construction to ecological construction. In order to achieve a fundamental improvement in the ecological environment by 2035, it is necessary to adjust the energy structure, reduce the proportion of fossil energy consumption, improve energy utilization efficiency, promote a clean energy supply, and improve the efficiency and cleanliness of the coal power system
 
3. Wang Jinnan (President of the Environmental Planning Institute of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering)
 
"The Development Trend of China's Environmental Protection"
 
Academician Wang combined the topic and elaborated from eight aspects. From the 2035 goal to the domestic and foreign situation analysis, from social and economic development to the prediction of ecological environment governance. The strategic goals put forward by the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China have greatly advanced the goals of social and economic development and environmental protection, and the environment and development strategies need to be adjusted according to the requirements.
 
4. Wang Yi (member of the Academic Committee of the China Energy Modeling Forum, member of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, vice president of the Institute of Science and Technology Strategy Consulting, Chinese Academy of Sciences)
 
"China's Green Development and Sustainable Development Goals"
 
Through the study of the report of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, Dean Wang pointed out that the energy model should not only compare parameters, but also make assumptions about the social and economic phenomena and human experience with Chinese characteristics, and compare the methods and results of the model itself, and problems and risks, etc.
